Parent Nursery School Testimonials

I just wanted to say a big thank you to all of the staff at The Hatchlings Nursery School for making Aaliyah’s time at nursery a very happy time. She loved the days she spent the day here especially having lunch with her friends and staff. Aaliyah loves to talk all about the different things she has been doing here; like creative activities , singing, dancing and dressing up.
Yours sincerely, Julie Daniel. 27th June 2011.

Emilee is very happy at nursery and it has built up her confidence a lot. I think the report is very good and shows how Emilee has progressed over the years she has been here.
Lisa Lewis. 5th July 2011.

We have noticed a positive change in Alyssa since she started at Hatchlings. Her confidence in social interaction has been also developed nicely. The report provided by Hatchlings is both constructive and informative also acting as a guide top Alyssa’s activities whilst in your care. It is obvious to us there is a well worked development structure in place and we will definitely recommend hatchlings to others with children approaching nursery age. Well done and thank you.
Mr Dorey and Ms Axten. 5th July 2011

Feedback on Consultation:
I personally really enjoyed it and found it was informative and help to reassure me on certain aspects. I will look forward to reading his report and certainly feel Hatchlings should continue these.
Mrs Pooni. 5th July 2011

The consultation went very well. I am very happy with Adirohan’s development and appreciate all the hard work all of the school has put in to show him into the big world.
Great team work, Thank you very much.
Mrs Saikia.  5th July 2011

Faith is very happy at Hatchlings. All the staff are fantastic, creating a warm friendly learning environment. The report has been great showing key moments and mile stones Faith has reached. It would also be a lovely thing for Faith to look back on and remember the happy times she shared with staff and children.
Tanya Gilks. 5th July 2011

Thank you for the whole nice staff!!
When Kacper was starting nursery I was very worried about him, because he is shy boy and he didn’t know the language. However he quickly started to enjoy it: first he asked me if he was going to the nursery and I said, ‘yes’ and he started crying. When he walked into the nursery doors he quickly forgot about it.  Now he runs to The Hatchlings and he really likes to play with other children, sing songs and all the staff. When he comes back to home he says to me some words in English.
I thank you all for looking after my son and your hard work.
Ameta Nowak. 6th July 2011.

Lukasz is very happy here, seeing it presented by teacher was very helpful. Possibility to talk about his progress is very good idea. Generally I am very happy Lukasz attends this nursery.
Lukasz’s Mum. 7th July 2011.

Generally I am happy with nursery. Kurtis enjoys coming to nursery. I find most of the staff to be friendly and they do give feedback at the end of sessions.
The presentation of the folder was not bad either. It’s easy to follow because it’s done in clear stages.
Mrs Muzuvu. 7th July 2011

James’ progress report is very informative and a lovely keepsake. It’s great to see the photographs and read about his time at Hatchlings, which he has enjoyed so much. It is nice to see his progress made and has helped me to understand what we are working towards now.
Many thanks! Rachel Brown. 12th July 2011.

I would like to thank you all for the time and care that you have given to my daughter Jessica while she has been with you.
Jessica has always looked forward to coming to school and because of this her interest and social skills have developed well.
After reading her report booklet I was impressed and encouraged by the detail that has gone into its making.
Thank you again. Mr and Mrs Cottrill. 12th July 2011.

The revised EYFS gave us parents an opportunity to hear from the teachers what they think about our children development past year and hear what the teachers say about our children behaviour. We obviously can see it ourselves but because the teachers are the professionals they can judge all their development and behaviours better and more objectively.
We were pleased to see the book of what Colin was doing and said in different situations and how bright they were. It’s so great to see that not only we can see how clever and funny Colin is.
We were so proud when we read the book.
We really appreciate all the opinions and suggestions made by the teachers.
With regards, Mrs Joanna Zablocka and Mr Artur Zablocki. 13th July 2011.

We have been very happy with the progress Kayleigh has made during her time at Hatchlings Nursery. We found Kayleigh’s development plan to be very clear and informative – the staff were always quick to identify any strengths or weakness Kayleigh may have and work hard to address them. They also worked alongside Kayleigh’s other pre-school to ensure that development plans were shared between them.
We are confident that Kayleigh has developed many of the skills required to start school.
Mr and Mrs Maishman. 19th July 2011

Elizabeth,
We would like to say THANK YOU for all help and service provided by you and whole nursery staff. We are very pleased Lukasz could attend this place as he seems to be very happy here making friends, learning things which will be useful later on at school. Thank you. Mr and Mrs Baranowski. July 2011

This book has given us both a great insight into Sid’s everyday life at Hatchlings, it is comforting to know he is in such great hands while we are at work.
We laughed a lot at his and his friends quotes. We also felt very proud of his achievements. Even after Sid’s first week at Hatchlings we noticed a bit difference in him and it was good to read his progressions and marked improvement via this book. It is a lovely book, something we can keep for ever……especially to wind him up on his 18th birthday!!!
Thank you for all your support (especially between 4.30 p.m. and 5.30 p.m.) and contributing towards who Sid is today.
Kelly and Nathan Doublet (Mum and Dad). July 2011.

Thank you so much for sharing Bleu’s profile with us. It’s lovely to see how much she has grown whilst with you.
It did make us laugh that she is just the same character whist in your care, we know she loved being with you.
Thanks again, Emma Swindell and Liam Hawkins. July 2011.

Ocean always talks positively about her day when she gets home. We have noticed she has matured in the past five months, very impressed when she recites ABC, Days of the week, months, numbers and shapes. We would like you to continue to encourage in her to interact in group activities. And better recognition of the letters in her name.
Thank you, Kerry, Sean and Nanny Sharon. July 2011.

Anna has had a wonderful time at Hatchlings Nursery. The staff have been great and Anna can not speak more highly of them.
Her report was lovely and feel that the staff have really got to know my daughter.
Thank you for the excellent time Anna has spent with you; I feel that you prepared her well for the next stages in her life.
Thank you, Claire, Rob and Anna Bullion. July 2011.

I am very pleased with the report about Ryan and happy that he is content at school and enjoying learning.
Debbie Sawyer. July 2011.

Monee has thoroughly enjoyed her time at Hatchlings and often speaks highly of the staff there. We’re pleased with Monee’s progress at Hatchlings and hopefully she can carry this on through to her early school years. We personally liked looking at the observation record sheets including the photos (great idea).
Thank you for your feedback on Monee, we now have a better understanding of what her usual day consists of. M. Nurse.
12th July 2011.

Laura really enjoys going to preschool and says that drawing is her favourite “subject”. She also likes all the teachers especially Miss McCarthy, who is her favourite!
We were very pleased with the report of Laura’s time at preschool. Ir is nice to see some of her achievements and activities away from home. It was particularly good to hear how well she gets on at school with the other children away from family. We found it very useful and encouraging.
Kirsty and Richard Jones. July 2011.

As our daughter, Zara, prepares to leaves and start infant school, we wanted to take time to express our gratitude for all you do. We have seen Zara grow and develop hugely over her time with you in all aspects. Both my wife and I, as you are aware, are in professions that have knowledge of the areas of learning and we believe you have “ taught” these well through “play” and given our daughter a great start to her primary years. Many thanks. Mike and Angela Nicholls. July 2011.

We would like to thank all the staff at Hatchlings (Anstey Close), where our son, Robert, has attended since January 2010, for all their hard work, commitment and professionalism in preparing him for “Big School”.
We are glad that we chose Hatchlings as a nursery school for our son, although there is a much closed preschool to our home, where Robert attended for just over a term, but could not settle there. However at Hatchlings he has just thrived.
These first experiences of education are so important and Robert has enjoyed spending time at your nursery, making lots of friends, both children and adults, who he speaks of fondly. We feel this is due to the excellent care that he has been given by the staff, both in helping him to settle into a routine and the stimulation and encouragement provided in the activities which he has taken part in.
We really enjoyed reading Robert’s report and feel that it shows both Robert’s personality and the individual attention which you give to the children in your care.
Thank you from, Mr and Mrs Lyon. July 2011.

Hatchlings Nursery School is a lovely nursery school. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and communicate well with parents and children. Both my children have thoroughly enjoyed their years at hatchlings. I would (and do) recommend Hatchlings to Parents. I will miss seeing (and laughing) with the teachers in the mornings as I’m sure Ella will do too.
Charlie Abrehart (Ella’s Mummy). July 2011.

Thank you for the book of Sean’s time at Hatchlings. I found it very interesting to read; it’s nice to find out the different things Sean’s been doing in his time at Hatchlings. Sean enjoyed listening to the notes I read to him and loved looking at the photographs. Thank you for all your hard work and input into making this for Sean. Mrs Lund. July 2011.

It was very nice to have the parent appointment to discuss Keilah’s progress in her time at hatchlings. Very pleased with how she has done and it’s very nice to have the book and to keep the memories of her time there.
Thank you, Sarah Hunt. July 2011.

I’m very happy with Charlie’s progress since starting Hatchlings, after a few wobbly starts he seems to have settled in well and enjoys going to nursery. I feel Hatchlings has helped with his confidence too. Charlie Walsh’s Mum. July 2011.

Oscar Wilson; school report comments:
We were very pleased with the detailed report that we received. Thank you. Stacey Biggle. July 2011.

I was really pleased with Kelsie’s report. She has made a lot of friends at the Hatchlings Nursery and is always happy to go.
Ms Frost. July 2011.

I am pleasantly surprised that Enzo has achieved and learned a lot more than I expected in nursery. I am grateful to all the staff of Hatchlings Nursery for all this support. I am also happy that Enzo takes on board a lot of things we teach him at home, and remembers then outside the home setting. Yes, I also think that with all the positive ideas he learned in nursery, coupled with the support at his home, he is now ready for the big school. Thank you ever so much for looking after him.
Del Cerroni and family. July 2011.

Megan has had a fantastic time at Hatchlings, she has enjoyed making new friends and has a good relationship with all the staff. Megan looks forward to “school”, as she calls Hatchlings, everyday. Her experience of nursery school has been made very enjoyable by everyone involved in her care. As a parent I am, and always have been completely happy with Hatchlings; every morning the staff are welcoming and always available to speak if needed. I am very happy with Megan’s achievements whilst at Hatchlings. She is a very confident little girl and Hatchlings has helped her become a very independent happy child. Megan is ready for “big school” but both her and I will be sad that her time at Hatchlings has come to an end. I can’t praise Hatchlings enough.
Samantha Wheldon; Megan’s Mummy. July 2011.

I can only say positive things about the nursery, the friendly staff and the help they have given me and Libby. Also the way they have gone out of their way to support Libby’s needs and even having a “Christmas party” for her so she didn’t miss out when she went into hospital. I really appreciate all you have done for her and thank you all so much. Libby will miss you all.
Libby Smith’s Mummy. July 2011.

I am really happy that we chose this nursery (Hatchlings) for Natalie. She was really happy here. She really like this place. She found lots of friends. Natalie started to speak English in the nursery. I think she is ready now for the new adventure which is starting school. It’s really important for me and for her. Hatchlings Nursery is really best, friendly and nice place for all children. Every day Natalie comes back really happy at home. Now she knows many songs, rhymes, colours and much more.  Manike (Natalie’s Mum) July 2011.

Evie has really enjoyed her time at Hatchlings. She has loved doing everything creative and really enjoys going outside to play. She has developed into a confident, outgoing girl that is looking forward to infant school. It is lovely to have a keepsake book of how she has developed with lots of lovely photos. Thanks. Mrs Burkett. July 2011.

I was very pleased with parent consultation. I am very pleased with how the profile has been put together; it outlines all abilities very well. I am very pleased with the way April has come on whilst being at Hatchlings.
Mrs Tracy Cuthbert. July 2011.

Sophie and Tom had a lovely time at Hatchlings Nursery School. Sophie has particularly enjoyed meeting new friends, especially since the majority are going to the same big school. I feel it will help her hugely as she starts school and for that I am so pleased I sent her to Hatchlings.
Tom especially benefitted from the safe, secure environment and stable staff. I feel it was fantastic that staff remain in post for longer periods. Tom enjoyed all the activities he did and still talks very fondly of his time at Hatchlings.
Mrs Yates. July 2011.

E. really enjoyed going to The hatchlings Nursery School. All the various activities ensure that she is never bored and is continuing to develop new skills. E. Has really developed her self confidence and she enjoys making new friends. Thank you for helping E to blossom into a fun, loving and confident little girl.

Sam and Barrie W. (July 2009)

I found J’s school report very helpful. I was impressed with all the work he has done at The Hatchlings Nursery School.

Miss C. (July 2009)

Thank you for the wonderful, detailed school report – we really enjoyed reading through it.

Caroline S. (July 2009)

We thought O’s report was great and we could see how much effort had been put into this. Thank you for all your help and efforts.

Natasha T. (July 2009)

Hatchlings has been fantastic for C. He has really loved his time with you and always looks forward to coming in. Mrs Fisher and the rest of the staff are truly wonderful – a credit to the nursery. Both Phil and I have loved reading through his record sheets, seeing his progress over the past two years. Happy memories will be taken away by us and C. Many, many thanks.

Natalie W. (July 2009)

I. Appears to have had a very positive time at Hatchlings, Anstey Close. She has always looked forward to attending. She has spoken fondly of staff and her peers. Thank you!

Mrs B.Y. (July 2009)

Dear Mrs Fisher. We would like to tell you what a wonderful year M. has had at Hatchlings. We are very sad that she is leaving today, but so confident that she will go on to do very well at St John’s, because of everything you have helped her achieve.  We are particularly impressed by the quality and quantity of observations returned to us in her record sheets. We appreciate the time it must take to record all of these and file them away in each child’s records – all the time looking after the demands of an excited group of youngsters. This will be a wonderful keepsake for us, and for M. when she is older. We are looking forward to sending M’s younger brother, D, to Hatchlings in the New Year. Thank you to you all, for the love you have shown M. She has had a very special year, and we are grateful to you all.

Helen and Tim W. (July 2009)

Dear Mrs Sudlow,

Thank you for the update on A. I also just wanted to mention that, whilst I was on Hatchlings website looking for your email address, I found the parents testimonials. This is a great idea and I enjoyed reading the letters.

I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks for preparing R for 'big school' and now also A. He is progressing well and I am confident he will be well adjusted and ready for 'big school' when the time comes.

Thank you.

Kind Regards

Theresa

Dear Sir or Madam

Re:       The Hatchlings Nursery School, Worting Road, Basingstoke

My son has been attending this nursery since August 2006, and I would like to commend both the nursery and its staff at the highest possible level.

The staff at this nursery, in particular Miss Marika Groce and Mrs Elizabeth Sudlow, have provided second-to-none support, education and care to my son Shay.  Last year,  Elizabeth Sudlow asked to speak with me regarding some concerns the staff had with Shay’s development in social and communication skills.  As a result of this meeting, Shay was swiftly referred to the Area INCO.  Since this referral Shay as been seen by various professionals, including a consultant paediatrician and is now receiving extra support which will continue into his school years.
Shay’s difficulties would not have been identified so early had it not been for the professional approach and observations of these members of staff.

Marika Groce has been recently working with Shay on a one-to-one basis, and his behaviour and his general progress has improved immensely since.  She constantly updates me on Shay’s progress.  Marika has proven that she will always go the “extra mile” for the children in her care.

This nursery has 100% succeeded in delivering, and continuing to deliver an exemplary level of care and education at a level that I’m sure any parent would expect.

I should be grateful if you would please take my comments into account, as I feel this nursery deserves acknowledgement for its high childcare provision.

Yours sincerely

Mrs Katie E Ford

Dear Mrs Sudlow
Just a short note to say thank you for making E’s time at the Hatchlings an enjoyment in education.
We are pleased that E has had the opportunity to be cared for in such a professionally run nursery, and we know that E will miss the friends he has made during his time with you and your friendly, caring staff.
May we take this opportunity of wishing you and your staff all the best for the future.
Yours sincerely
Mr & Mrs Kingdom

To Mrs Sudlow and everyone at the Hatchlings Nursery.
Thank you for teaching me and my sisters so much before we went to school.
We all had lots of fun.
Love from, Robyn, Katie, and Christie.

Dear Mrs Sudlow
It is with great thanks I write to you as D leaves ‘Hatchlings’ for infant school.
We are grateful for the educational nurturing he has received over the past year. D has enjoyed and benefited from the environment you have created for him, and the rest of the children.
I have always been happy to recommend the nursery school, and will continue to do so; although sadly there are no more of ours to send.
Best wishes for a refreshing holiday.
Mrs Bond

Just a note to say thank you for the active and influential role you have played in Joshua’s life, he has very much enjoyed this past year with you all at the nursery.
Thank you again, from
Joshua and his mummy.

Goodbye: My first teacher that was you
You showed me lots of things to do
From baking cakes to painting feet
You taught me how to write so neat
The times in which I spent with you
Has prepared me for my big new school
I will miss you all I must agree
So goodbye, goodbye from
R Murphy

To Mrs Sudlow and team
A very big thank you for all your support and help with M.
He is a very happy and confident little boy who deals with his hearing problems in a blasé way.
He seems so young to be going to school but I am certain it will be fine with the grounding you have all given him.
I know he will miss the Hatchlings – as will I – no more children left to send you!
A big thank you for all you have done for my two. The Hatchlings has given both my children an excellent start to their educational life and I would highly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a solid start for their child.
Ms Cook

Dear Mrs Sudlow, Mrs Rustell and staff
Thank you for all the help you have given R with his letters, numbers and writing his name, along with the general social skills he has acquired over the last 1 ½ years. He has thoroughly enjoyed himself while at Hatchlings and I know he will be very sad to leave.
Thanks again,
Yours sincerely
Mrs Harvey

Dear Mrs Sudlow
Just wanted to say a big thank you for all your help and the wonderful job that you do. I am so pleased at J’s progress and think you are a great teacher.
Ms Carter

To all the staff at Hatchlings
Thank you for the two years J has spent with you. We all delighted with the progress he has made and feel that he couldn’t have done this without you.
Best wishes for the future.
Mrs Cornwell

Dear Mrs Sudlow and Mrs Noble
A mere ‘Thank you’ is totally inadequate for how you have introduced the world of learning to our daughter M.
She has looked forward to every single session, has recounted everything she has done in great detail. She is now looking forward to going to ‘big school’ – as she calls it: and she will be all the more ready for going there because she has had such an excellent experience at ‘The Hatchlings’.
Mr and Mrs Hutchings

To Mrs Sudlow and Mrs Noble
Just to say thanks for all you’ve done for A. You have helped to develop her into a lovely little girl.
Mrs Perron

Congratulations on a splendid OFSTED inspection – it is nice to know they can recognise quality when they see it!!
Jo

To Mrs Sudlow and Mrs Noble
Thank you very much for all your help you have given L over the past year.
You have given him a great head start for school in September.
Also, thank you for identifying his Language and Development problems – hopefully these will be sorted out. We have noticed a huge improvement at home already.
Mrs Deane

Dear Mrs Sudlow
Thank you so much for everything you have done for C. She has really enjoyed every minute she has spent at the Hatchlings and I have been amazed at some of the information she has come out with. I was truly shocked at her informing me that, ‘circles don’t tessellate’!
You must be very proud of what you have set up – you deserve to do well.
Thank you so much.
Mr and Mrs Innes

Keep up the excellent work. We are both so proud to say that A went to ‘The Hatchlings’!
Looking forward to W starting in April!
John and Lynsay Luckins

“What a lovely nursery”!
Thank you for making Lauren’s time there a happy one.
Best wishes
Lauren’s Mum and Dad

Dear Mrs Sudlow and staff
I am hereby writing to thank you all for the wonderful work you have done with T.
As I am sure you are well aware he had such a bad start at his previous nursery school. I never thought I would be able to get him settled into anywhere else, but since joining you at the Hatchlings you have not only given him his confidence back but also gained him lots more to which I am extremely grateful.
He has loved his time with you and has told me he will miss you all very much.
I hope you all have many more happy years at the Hatchlings and are able to carry on with your excellent nursery school skills.
Yours sincerely
Mrs Hams

Dear Elizabeth
Since J has been coming to Hatchlings, she has turned into a funny, polite little girl. She is so ready to start school and I believe it’s the Hatchlings that has given her the best start. You have really helped to bring out her personality!! She has learned so much in her time with you and enjoyed every minute! Thank you so much! Keep up the good work.
Kinds regards
Joanna Bury

To Mrs Sudlow and all the Hatchlings Staff We would like to say a huge thank you for the wonderful time you have given M during her stay at Hatchlings. The care, support and guidance you have given her has been exceptional and we would like to say how very much this has been appreciated.
She has thoroughly enjoyed her time with you and know she will miss you all greatly.
Thank you for giving her such a good start to her ‘educational life’ and for making it so enjoyable for her. Hope things continue to go well for you all at both nurseries and hope to see you in the future with L.
